Yizkor
The first Yizkor remembrance this year will be on Yom Kippur, Thursday October 2nd. We are currently compiling our 2025/5786 Yizkor Memorial Book, which will be available in print for Yom Kippur, Shemini Atzeret, Passover, and Shavuot, and will also be accessible year-round on our website.
Our Congregational Yizkor Book will highlight the names of our dear family and loved ones. To ensure the names of your loved ones are included in the 5786 Yizkor Book, please submit the form and payment either online or by paper by Friday, August 8, 2025. Names received afterwards will be included in the addendum insert and online.
Please follow these steps to update and submit names for this year's book:
- Review last year's listing: Click here to see the names you submitted for the 2025/5785 Yizkor book and here for the names included in the addenda for Shemini Atzeret, Passover, and Shavuot.
- Submit your names online at this link: Whether you are updating a previous submission or adding names for the first time, we encourage everyone to use the online form. This helps ensure the information is complete and accurate. If you have not submitted names before, it is a meaningful way to honor your loved ones.
- Paper form: If you cannot submit online, use the form that will come with your July High Holy Day mailing. The form is on the back of the letter. Please be sure to print clearly.
- Update the Reverent Tribute section: This section honors Beth Yeshurun members of blessed memory who served in the U.S. military. Please include the names of loved ones you would like to honor.
- Deadline: Please complete these forms online (or have your paperwork and payment to the synagogue) by Friday August 8, 2025.
We are deeply thankful for your support and hope that Beth Yeshurun’s Yizkor Book of Remembrance provides a source of comfort for you and our Congregation. We are also deeply grateful to Houston Jewish Funerals for their continued generous sponsorship of our Yizkor Memorial Book.
