The Upstanders explores cyber-bullying, bullying among friends, families, co-workers and the brain science behind it. It highlights new laws and programs that is already reducing bullying in schools and shows us how we can learn to make a difference together to create systemic change. When we look in the mirror we sometimes say things to ourselves we would never say to someone else. Could we be bullying ourselves? When we treat ourselves well we model for others how we want to be treated and how others should treat themselves. It has to start with us. The suggested viewing age is 13+ as there is discussion of a suicide resulting from bullying.

We have partnered with IndieFlix to bring you three documentaries that raise awareness around issues affecting our children, parents, schools, and families. Each of these movies is appropriate to be watched by families and each includes an at home discussion guide to help families further explore these topics together. While each movie has serious elements, the underlying message in each is positive: with tools and open dialogue we can navigate all of these challenges.
