Diaper and Menstrual Product Drive

Sunday, May 31, 2020 8 Sivan 5780

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Neither diapers nor menstrual products are covered under SNAP or WIC. With increased unemployment, many communities in Houston are especially hard-hit, and the costs of necessities like diapers and menstrual products are even further out of reach.

Two ways you can help:

  1. Bring your donations to Beth Yeshurun on Sunday, May 31st from 1:00-3:00pm.
  2. Purchase items from the Amazon wishlists to make a purchase for either organization (details below).

Diapers and wipes will be donated to LIFEHouston, which provides baby care essentials to Houston families since 1988. Local Infant Formula for Emergencies (or L.I.F.E) is a low-barrier resource for needy families to feed, diaper and clothe their babies.

Menstrual products will be donated to I Support the Girls - Houston who have been collecting and distributing menstrual products and bras worldwide since 2015. It is part of the larger, global 'I Support the Girls' organization, helping women and girls experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and lack of access to menstrual hygiene products.
