Mazel tov to our Bar Mitzvah, Ari Blake Spelkin, son of Melanie and Dan Spelkin; brother of Jonah and Ethan Spelkin; grandson of Sharon and Arnold Kagan, Carol Spelkin of Frisco, TX and Harvey Spelkin of Los Angeles, CA. Ari is a 7th grade student at The Emery/Weiner School where he enjoys playing sports and participating in Model UN. Outside of school, Ari enjoys reading, baking, playing baseball and spending time with friends. For his mitzvah project, Ari volunteered with the West University Little League Challenger program as a buddy for children with physical and mental challenges to help enable them to play baseball. Ari is participating in the Rabbi's ten percent plan and will donate 10 percent of his gifts to Friends of the IDF, a charitable organization that works closely with the Israel Defense Forces to provide for the health, welfare and education of its soldiers, veterans, and their family members.
