B'nai Mitzvah of Riley Most & Collin Steinberg

9:30 AM - 12:00 PMFreedman Levit SanctuaryMazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Riley Alexa Most, daughter of Hilary and Roni Most, sister of Bella, Rory, and Blake Most, granddaughter of Susan Most, and Robert Most of blessed memory, and Mira and Darryl Temkin. Riley is completing the 7th grade at Pin Oak Middle School where she is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and plays for Pin Oak’s basketball and softball teams. Outside of school, Riley plays competitive softball for Athletics Mercado Lopez -12 u & 14u. This summer Riley is looking forward to going to Camp Young Judah (CYJ), playing in her national softball tournaments, and competing for Team Houston’s basketball team in the Maccabi Games in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Riley’s Mitzvah project included volunteering at the Challenger Baseball/Softball Buddy program through West University where she helps children with disabilities play baseball and softball, as well as volunteering with Sports Stars through the JCC where she would also help children with disabilities participate in various sport activities. Riley will also be participating in the Rabbi’s Ten Percent plan for charitable giving.
Mazel tov to our Bar Mitzvah, Collin Harrison Steinberg, son of Morgan and Kevin Steinberg, brother of Kayla, grandson of Debbi and Nick Carnes and Cindi and Marc Steinberg. Collin is in 7th grade at Emery Weiner Middle School, where he plays on the basketball and baseball teams. Outside of school, he plays select baseball with Stix Academy, loves hanging out with friends and watching sports. For his Mitzvah project, Collin was a baseball buddy with the Challenger Division of West University Little League, a baseball program for boys and girls with physical and mental challenges. Collin will be donating a portion of his monetary gifts to Project Baseball, which supports the building of neighborhood baseball fields in Israel.
