Mazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Jacob Michael Sheinbein, son of Lindsey and David Sheinbein; brother of Daniel and Benjamin; grandson of Teri and Lee Straus and Suzanne and Don Kooi and the late Marc Sheinbein. Jacob is a seventh grader at Trafton Academy. For his Mitzvah project, Jacob volunteered at the Houston Food Bank, a non-profit organization that distributes food and other essentials to those in need and provides programs and other services aimed at helping families achieve long-term stability including nutrition education, job training, and health management. Jacob will be donating a portion of his monetary gifts to the Simon Wiesenthal Center to help educate the American public about the damage caused by Antisemitism and neo-Nazism.
