Mazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Abby Rose Kuperman, daughter of Andrea and Shay Kuperman, sister of Miriam and Noah, and granddaughter of Ilona and James Thomson and Haya and Eitan Kuperman. Abby is a seventh-grader at The Emery Weiner School. She plays on the volleyball and softball teams. Abby also loves to cook and spend time with her friends and siblings. For her mitzvah project, Abby volunteered with the Aishel House and delivered meals to patients in the hospital. She also plans to participate in the Rabbi’s Ten Percent Plan for Charitable Giving. Abby is thankful to her family, friends, teachers, clergy at Congregation Beth Yeshurun, her B’not Mitzvah partner, Cady Smith, and her tutor, Freda Wadler, for their support and help in preparing for her Bat Mitzvah.

Mazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Cady Smith, daughter of Julie and Greg Smith and younger sister of Dori Smith. Her very proud grandparents are Sheryl and Larry Smith and Sylvia Wacher, and Warren Wacher, of blessed memory. Cady is in 7th grade at Trafton Academy where she enjoys playing volleyball on the 7th grade girls’ team. Outside of school, Cady is very active with her Woodlands Elite competitive cheer team. Go Guardians! Cady also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being creative, listening to music, and going on family trips. For her Mitzvah project, Cady is volunteering with Jewish Family Service by decorating Shabbat boxes to deliver to and help cheer up Jewish hospital patients. Cady will also be participating in the Rabbi's Ten Percent plan for charitable giving by donating a portion of her Bat Mitzvah gifts to the American Cancer Society. Cady is very honored to share her Bat Mitzvah weekend with her longtime friend, Abby Kuperman.
