Mazel tov to our Bar Mitzvah, Elijah Isaac Hermann, son of Lisa Noll and Bryan Hermann; brother of Chloe and Emma; grandson of Judith^z”l and Michale Noll and Melody and David Hermann. Elijah is a 7th grader at The Emery Weiner School where he participates in swimming and soccer, sings in the choir, and is a member of MUN. He enjoys reading, especially Greek mythology and science fiction; swimming; spending time with friends; and designing and building 3-D models. For his Mitzvah project, Elijah held a book drive for Books Between Kids, a non-profit organization that sponsors book fairs for Houston’s at-risk children, helping them build personal home libraries. He will participate in the Rabbi’s Ten Percent charitable giving program. Elijah would like to thank his family, friends, Beth Yeshurun Clergy and Administration, and his tutor, Freda Wadler for their support in helping him reach this milestone.
