Mazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Zoe Erin Brounes, daughter of Barbara & Ron Brounes; sister of Emmy; granddaughter of Helen & Pincusz”l Brounes, and Libby & Walter Hachenburgz”l. Zoe is currently in seventh grade at The Emery/Weiner School where she participates in volleyball. She graduated from Beth Yeshurun Day School as did her sister and father. For her mitzvah project, Zoe volunteered at Seven Acres/The Medallion and also made cards for the residents. This project was particularly meaningful as her paternal great grandfather, Sam Brounes, was one of its founders and initial officers. Zoe will also participate in the Rabbi’s 10% plan and donate a portion of her monetary gifts to support research for cancer and Alzheimer’s. 
 

Mazel tov to our Bat Mitzvah, Lyla Mina Wolf, daughter of Annat & David Wolf, sister of Steven and Sara, and granddaughter of Ester and Dr. Raulz”l Husid and Susanz”l & Gary Wolf. Lyla is in seventh grade at The Emery/Weiner School where she plays volleyball and participates in the theater program. She also enjoys playing piano, tennis, singing and spending time with her classmates, her family, and her cats. For her mitzvah project, Lyla volunteered with Houston Pets Alive helping care for rescued cats and dogs. Lyla plans to contribute to the Rabbi’s 10% plan by supporting the Amyloidosis Foundation in honor of her grandmother, Susan Eva Wolf, the American Heart Association in honor of her grandfather, Raul Husid, and the Tourette Association of America in honor of her cousin, Jacob Remels.
