Mazel tov to our Bar Mitzvah, El-Rohi Avner! Rohi is a 7th grader at Lanier Middle School where he plays the violin. He enjoys the Houston Symphony and plays piano. For his mitzvah project, he worked with his father to raise 2000 for a soldier and his family who chose to enlist in the IDF in the protection of Israel on Oct7. He proudly wears his fathers IDF dog tags in support. Rohi’s loves to go to the range and practice shooting. He enjoys road trips and manly camping. His favorite trip was to sleep under the stars in Twin Lakes Colorado during Covid. For Hanukkah, Rohi has given from his own funds hundreds of toys to the Ronald McDonald house in Houston. He also works with his dad on sounds amazing projects using his engineering mind. He also is very happy to connect online with his friend Yacov and Levy and his cousin Elay.

Mazel tov to our Bar Mitzvah, Marcello Stefano Giovanella, son of Corrado and Carley Giovanella, proud grandson of Jay and Judie Abramson, Wendy Giovanella and the late Beppino Giovanella. Marcello is currently in the seventh grade at The Emery/ Weiner School where he participates in soccer, basketball, and tennis. He also enjoys playing video games and pickleball in his free time. For his Mitzvah project, Marcello volunteered at the Houston Humane Society. Marcello will also donate a portion of his monetary gifts to St. Jude Children Research Hospital to help them advance cures and treat children with cancer.
