Join Rabbi Fort and local professionals for a 4-part series designed especially for first time expectant parents. We’ll discuss:

  • Making a Game Plan (prepping pets, visitors, hospital bag, and more)
  • Technical Details (Q&A with a Lactation Consultant, RN, birth doula)
  • JewFAQS (naming traditions, common Jewish superstitions, etc)
  • Afterbirth (what goes into bris, naming/brit bat, PJ Library, Tot Shabbat).

Get ready for your next big adventure with other folks in the same boat! Each couple will receive a copy of the book The New Jewish Baby Book by Anita Diamant.

Keeping Children Safe in a Troubled World

Parents of preteens (9-11 year olds) need to know how to talk to them about body autonomy (using correct terminology, establishing boundaries, etc) and prepare them as they enter puberty. We know that's not easy! So come learn how from Janet Pozmantier, community member, award-winning author, and consultant with ChildBuilders, whose mission is to promote mental health and prevent abuse by empowering children. Moderated by Rabbi Sarah Fort. Babysitting available with registration.
