Congregation Beth Yeshurun Sisterhood
Our Vision
Through education, service and practice, the Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Yeshurun will do our best work for our synagogue to maintain our Jewish traditions, heritage and values now and for future generations while balancing health, family, work and community.
Our Mission
To connect the women of Congregation Beth Yeshurun as they work, learn and grow together through Jewish programs, worship and fundraising to strengthen and perpetuate Jewish family, synagogue and community life to realize the vision of Sisterhood.
The Sisterhood supports Beth Yeshurun in a number of ways…
For our Synagogue...
- Generous financial contribution made to newly remodeled Barg Sanctuary
- Maintains kitchens, including all equipment & table wares
- Manages the Judaica gift shop
- Provides receptions for Friday & Saturday services when there is no Bar/Bat Mitzvah
For our Congregants...
- Sponsors scholarships to Jewish summer camps
- Sends Passover Care Packages to college students
- Delivers baked goods to families for Shiva
- Gives monetary gifts to high school students for trips to Israel
- Provides congratulatory gifts for all brides & Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
For our Day Schools and Religious Schools...
- Annual financial contributions
- Financial donation to the Purim Carnival
- Monetary contribution to Share the Magic Gala
- Supports the Hyman E. Finger Library
