    At a Time of Loss

    Congregation Beth Yeshurun has two cemeteries in Houston and one in Wharton, Texas. For information about purchasing a plot in one of the cemeteries, please send an e-mail to cemetery@bethyeshurun.org or call Arthur Miller, Cemetery Manager [Home phone (713) 771-7962; Cell phone (713) 854-6457]. In an emergency, if you cannot reach Arthur Miller, please ask your funeral home to contact Lu Dorfman.

    CHEVRA KADISHA

    The Houston Jewish Community maintains and supports a Chevra Kadisha for those interested in a traditional preparation for burial. The Chevra Kadisha is a volunteer organization supported by donations and works with all funeral homes. Contact information for the Chevra Kadisha is: (713) 776-2438 Lester Sternberg, President.

    BETH YESHURUN CEMETERY AT POST OAK AND OLD KATY ROAD 

    Cemetery Hours: Sunday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    (Shabbat hours vary depending on sundown)

    Take West Loop 610 North
    Exit Woodway/Memorial, then continue in center lane
    At Memorial Drive, turn left
    Turn right onto North Post Oak
    Continue north over I-10/Katy Freeway
    Cemetery is on the left
     
     

    BETH YESHURUN CEMETERY AT ALLEN PARKWAY

    Cemetery Hours: Sunday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    (Shabbat hours vary depending on sundown)
    Take West Loop 610 North to 59 North (Southwest Freeway)
    Exit at Kirby
    Turn left onto Kirby
    Kirby becomes Allen Parkway
    Cemetery is located across from the Allen Park House on North side (left) of bayou
     

    BETH YESHURUN CEMETERY IN WHARTON

    • General Directions:
    I-59 South to Wharton/Bay City Exit
    Left on Hwy 59 Business/Hwy 60 South, under Freeway to Hwy 1301 (traffic light)
    Left on Hwy 1301 to Junior College Boulevard (traffic light)
    Left on Junior College Boulevard to Shearith Israel Cemetery (about 2 blocks on right)

    Funeral Home Information

    Congregation Beth Yeshurun maintains excellent relations with the funeral homes in Houston and does not make recommendations of one versus the others. There are many fine funeral homes in Houston, but most of our congregants use one of these for burials in Houston:
