Yom HaShoah Art & Writing Contest
Each year on Yom Hashoah – Holocaust Commemoration Day – we remember
the six million Jews and millions of other innocent victims who were
murdered during the Holocaust. The Texas Coalition for Holocaust
Education sponsors an annual art and writing contest in order to
encourage students to reflect on the meanings that this event has
for us today.

Count me in! Tzedakah Project
Two high school students of Congregation Beth Yeshurun, who are
currently 10th graders at St. Johns School, are organizing the
second year of Count Me In, a Hanukkah gift collection mitzvah
project. They need your help and participation. The goal of the
project is to distribute gifts to make Hanukkah brighter for Jewish
families and their children who are having a difficult time this
Hanukkah season. This will also include providing gifts to Jewish
